Hi, I know that tracking cookies are not malware so most antivirus or anti-malware do not detect tracking cookies except for Superantispyware which does. The question is, leaving out Superantispyware, is there any other free antivirus that detects tracking cookies?
Thank you very much in advance.
    Best regards.

The free version of Hitman Pro Scanner does detect Tracking cookies

Yes I know, I mean the antivirus logically with real time protection. I remember that AVG detected tracking cookies but since Avast bought it I don't know if it still has that tracking cookie detection.

You know that blocking third-party cookies in your browsers will stop most tracking cookies in the first place?

Kaspersky has a component called Private browsing which blocks tracking but I'm not sure if it inspects cookies also. Here are categories that they can block:

If you have an idea how to test it I can do it for you.

Your best shot is to scan with Hitman Pro like @amico81 mentioned, but do yourself a favor and dont use AVG/Avast just for this "feature".

1 - The free version of Kaspersky doesnt have the Private browsing feature (so-so module anyway).

2 - Kaspersky doesnt scan for cookies (they are harmless).

Just clear your cookies out or entire history then start blocking 3rd party cookies like Krusty says. No extra software needed.

When I first saw your post I thought to myself this person wants an old school anti-virus or program.

I personally don't block 3rd party cookies as some sites don't work properly. I use SUPERAntiSpyware just to get rid of tracking cookies not for it's useless spyware removal.

You didn't specify what you wanted done upon the detection of the tracking cookies or at what point you want the detection to take place. Anyhow...

Ghostery browser extension in case you're wanting real-time detection and processing:

I think nowadays as modern browsers like Firefox or Chrome/Chromium will let the user know if certain content is blocked. So say I'm blocking 3rd party cookies and I go to my favorite gaming website ninjakiwi.com I know Chromium will let me know either in the address bar or to the right of it a cookie symbol with red slash through it, I click it then click manage cookies for this website then allow nkstatic.com

Nothing really that hard about it and I only have to do it once and the browser remembers it.

hello, I've tried several anti-viruses and none retain signatures or tracking cookie detection. This is quite logical since modern antivirus doesn't detect tracking cookies anymore, so I was looking for an old feature in modern antivirus. Anyway, I'm going to use superantispyware.

Greetings and thanks to everyone who commented. :):thumb:
