What's the purpose of these new Genesis components? Is it something along the lines of future transformation of the product? (I don't know anything as I casually read about this, that, and the other; and this has piqued my interest!)

Okay this is what I got: "We added routines to make Genesis uninstall more reliable based on signals from a cloud service."

Webroot now does a gradual rollout method for releases. As such, not everyone will receive the update at the same time.

PC Agent Version 9.0.28.48 (Released May 13th, 2020)

Could anyone please bring any 'enlightenment' regarding 2 processes WRSkyClient and WRCoreServices, which bring total of WSA running processes to 4, which were a (relatively?) recent arrival?
I've been meaning to investigate these, but alas, could find little or zilch when I looked in User Guide, WR Community, or here?
Maybe it's been implemented after one of the takeovers/mergers etc?

One other issue I've noticed is regular loss of gold padlock on tray icon with several browsers (even Edge), thereby necessitating manual addition in Identity Protection. On update I can understand with Pale Moon, but Edge should not present that issue for inexperienced users. Might confuse etc.

Last thing, if anyone could recommend a way to ensure scan with WSA is available in Context Menu? Even clean install doesn't seem to work for me. Might there be a registry setting messed-up perhaps? Thanks for any help :)

@Dermot7 yes look right here: https://community.webroot.com/got-a-question-10/wrskyclient-x64-exe-342821 and here: https://community.webroot.com/got-a-question-10/strange-webroot-icon-343553

What OS are you using? I remember someone posted the same issue about the Context Menu not showing Scan with Webroot but I still see mine. https://community.webroot.com/got-a-question-10/webroot-context-menu-not-there-343513

Edge or the new Chrome based Edge is not supported yet within WSA but you can add it to the ID Shield as you like! https://community.webroot.com/webro...plication-protection-and-edge-chromium-343236

Ah, thanks Daniel :thumb: I couldn't find anything by searching over at WR board, and it's all been changed and 'updated' over there now...I hope for the better, lol :) We don't have Joe anymore to provide his helpful insights, and I'm sure he would have told us all about these things.
Thanks, I'm still (doggedly :D ) on W7 x64 Pro, and quite happy atm, and the context scan is, of course, not critical, just nice to have, and should be there. But I gave up on it after it had failed to appear again recently.

It's still one of my favourite softwares...so light, no major issues (touch wood), and little to ever report, except I've seen one FP in years of use, and generally ok, except eg a new user might get a bit concerned about the scan thing, and tray-icon occasional 'awol'. :)

    Thanks Buddy...have a good night. :)
edit: + I found that the WTS auto-installed and enabled, and I hadn't seen any of those keycode authentication settings...weird?

@Triple Helix, would you please share your Advanced Settings which differ from WSA's defaults?

I just change a couple of things and the rest is default plus I add internet facing apps like all browsers and Zoom to the Identity Shield for the protection!

Because I want to see everything!

Thanks @Triple Helix. What about the Firewall / Web Shield settings and specifically the bottom group of 4?

Which setting would you use if you were not using VS and Glasswire?

I'm using Webroot AV with OSArmor..do you think that's enough?
but have already tested it with VS free....it offers sure a better protection, but i could feel a little delay on my system.

I use WSA with the paid version of VoodooShield and they work great together but I haven't tried OSArmor so I can't say.
