Just out of curiosity, why is my server mentioned as part of this?
Seems like an interesting coincidence for a firewall development thread and I can only assume it's in the list of blocked hosts, so I'm quite interested in the reason for that as you might imagine ;)

Sorry, I can't remember from which program I copied the blocked host for example.
Maybe from Tixati - bittorrent client.

Cheers, I did some digging and found that there were connections between my machine (among many others) and various malware as identified by VirusTotal.
Turns out, because DHT and Peer Discovery protocols were enabled it was being communicated with by malware for finding other torrent clients that were distributing what I can only assume to be malware-related content (or legit content in the case of just virus-infected torrent clients).
These features have now been turned off, cause I'd rather not have my machine help out with that and I don't really need it enabled anyway ;)

Sorry for hijacking the thread a bit, your firewall's looking nice :) Well done!

    It's up to you :)
Some firewalls don't allow blocking it (e.g. Glasswire).

I block it. I've a router and local traffic is excluded from filtering.

Hi!I am unable to run your software, on a older Windows 10 x64 Pro (10.0.10586) machine based on a AM1 AMD 5350 X4 APU.
After installation, it s not a portable, when i try to run it, an error in relation to MSVCP_140.1.dll (the program can t start because MSVCP_140.1.dl is missing ) is spawned on the screen.
The file exists, the latest version of the minimal runtime was installed.
Other software installed ::Sandboxie ,Tinywall 3.0.4, Kaspersky Free and the LMT Anti Logger(Disabled).

Thanks, I did that and it worked.

I ve made it crash though :)
It is installed on the same machine (specified in the previous post), from which Kaspersky Free was removed.
So it runs along TinyWall 3.0.4 official.Windows Firewall service is turned off in Services, for the 10.0.10586 version it seems it can be done.

So after the installation I ve enabled the internet.I ve started the sandboxed Firefox browser and of course it could not connect, as there was no rule in the Fort app for applications. There is a rule in Tinywall though, for Firefox.
Went to the Application groups where i ve created a group called Browsers. In there, in the right panel (where the Allowed ones are) i have manually added, via copy paste, the path to the FIrefox executable. An app error was shown that said that Firefox already exists and the firewall crashed. At restart of the app same error was shown, but the Firefox path was still there in the Allowed section of the Browser group, where I ve add-ed it.
Firefox works so what s with the error ? :) As there was no rule for Firefox in the app, could it be a conflict with other firewall rules ?
There never was a rule for FIrefox in the Fort firewall app.

Sm3K3R, thank you for bug report.
There are Options Window: App Groups and Programs window, where app paths can be defined.
Now paths in the Programs window are in priority.
    Please check new v3.2.2

    Hi tnodir,
I've installed version Fort Firewall version 3.2.2 on my PC but i got an error during setup, similar to the error on post #51; then I noticed that fortfw.sys driver was stopped but when I tried to start it manually i got a Windows popup saying that Windows could not verify the digital signature of the file.
My OS is Windows 10 Home version 1909 Build 18363.900

    Thank you for your help

@Serphis Driver is signed by ordinary code signing certificate, as you can see in its properties.
So it'll not work for Secure Boot, which requires EV certificate.
Please check that you use Secure Boot.

Thanks for the fast reply, tnodir

Yes, I have Secure Boot enabled, so it explain the driver's error.
