Is there a reason why no "uninstall programs" could SEE Sandboxie and REMOVE Sandboxie?

I was "mad" at that upgrade - Version 2004 - because, when I pushed the button to "upgrade" early in the morning, I did not realize that it could take LONGER than 2 hours to upgrade; therefore, I left for work without pressing the button, "Re-start". I thought, it would happen without me being present, but NO.
When I got back home late at night, my computer had that "pop-up window", "Restart".
And that restart also lasted for about two hours, and I got tired.

I upgraded using the Windows 10 Update assistant. The other times I used the assistant, the installation has taken about 3 hours. This time it took three and a half. I am glad you are good now, zmechy :). All related to SBIE and 2004 in my computer appears to be doing well.

I believe this problem with live had been fixed in 5.33.1. Perhaps compatibility its broken again.

I've got another "strange" issue with the new SBIE - 5.33.6 version.
Currently, I'm exploring/testing some new (for me) browsers - Brave, Vivaldi, etc., and when I want to start Brave Sandboxed, I get a pop-up Sandboxie message asking me if I want to make "Changes...".
I get the same message when I close Brave.
And it's started happening only when I updated SBIE to 5.33.6.

Nice explanation, David. Thank you. :)

Now I remember seeing KmdUtil running when running Sandboxie installers,

What's interesting, now (with properly-functioning) Sandboxie, I can find - and remove it by using several of my "uninstall" programs, including even CCleaner, but...
Yesterday, after that Sandboxie installation "fiasco", NO programs, no internal "UNINSTALL PROGRAMS" were able to see Sandboxie.

That Sandboxie message has two stages:
    1. The message appears in the left upper corner for a very short time (about max 1 second), and then, a different SBIE message pops up, while the whole desktop/monitor is "black-out".
    Here is that second message.
Also, I push the button, NO.

That looks like a UAC thing. I run as administrator, probably that's why I haven't seen it.

That message appears only when I want to use Brave.
I don't see that message with any other browsers - Firefox, Chrome, Vivaldi, Epic, etc...

P.S. Edge is too "heavy" for my computers, plus, it has that MS name.

It never happens to any other browsers.
And it only started after I've updated SBIE to 5.33.6 (After reading your posts about it :'()

That makes it more interesting to know the why.

Why this...:'(. Your Sandboxie is OK now. And W10, at least from my point of view, 2004 is functioning better than I thought it was going to be for Day 1.

It's because of some extra steps to start Brave in Sandboxie.:p
    But...
Here is an interesting thing with SBIE exceptions.
I cannot find it in this thread but I (and probably, others) get the following Sandboxie message when I close Sandboxed Googel Chrome.
It's just "a little bit" irritating.

    s3.PNG

    Here is some good news.

For some unknown to me reason, I've decided that "Click & Clean" - Chrome extension is too "heavy" and removed it, and installed "Clean Guru".
And I'm NOT getting any longer those SBIE2318 messages.

I dont use Chrome but get same messages with Edge. Those messages get issued with all Chromium type browsers. You can ignore them or hide them. I get them when I open Settings in Edge.
I dont know the extensions but they sound by the name that they are for cleaning history, etc. If thats what they are for, you really dont need them when you use SBIE. Sandboxie gets rid of all that.

    Bo,

    Good news:D

This time, I've started my Epic browser and received the same SBIE message like starting Brave.
It's like some "virus" started spreading, but...
Chrome and Vivaldi, and Firefox is not affected by that SBIE message, so far.

Upgrading to 5.33.6 seems to have solved the problem, but I appreciate your input :)

Win10 2004 - errors using Sandboxie with Firefox and Edge:

    SBIE2101 Object name not found: \Device\NamedPipe\hmpalert, error CreateFile (C0000022) access=0012019F initialized=1
    SBIE2314 Canceling process rf-chrome-nm-host.exe [7600 / 7]

Something to do with HMPA and/or Roboform. Tried disabling all HMPA features with no success. Nothing in Event log. 2 hours trying different stuff with no success.

    Back to Win10 1909.
