Re: vertical tabs. I'm assuming this will be an optional feature but I like it already. The article states Firefox users are waiting for a compatible extension when Edge will have this natively soon. This does not bode well for Mozilla Firefox, I think. I feel a little sad for its future.

If it does get released I hope that update will honor registry setting which should disable installation of new version.

I downloaded and installed it manually a few days ago and I really like it so far. I'm also on the 2004 feature update in the Slow Ring as well. All seems pretty nice...

Not a surprise, Firefox has gone downhill. I don't see any advantage over Chromium based browsers.

Another dumb new feature that nobody really needs. Like I said, they rather bring back "tabs on bottom", what a bunch of idiots. :thumbd:

I still don't get it. Why would anyone use Edge Chromium? I mean if I wanted Chrome, Google Chrome is the best for its integration with Android devices (ie, bookmarks, saved passwords, etc), if I was concerned about privacy, I could use the vanilla Chromium so why would anyone switch to the Edge Chromium?

As you said - Google Chrome is best for it's integration with Android. Similarly Edge Chromium will probably be best for it's integration with Windows 10 devices.

Because it apparently has got certain new features that Chrome hasn't got, so they are trying to differentiate themselves, just like Vivaldi which is the best Chromium based browser IMO. The only thing that doesn't change is the amount of spying that's going on, Edge and Chrome are not the best choice when it comes to privacy. But lots of people don't care or don't know about this stuff.

Chromium Edge is very similar to Google Chrome but not exactly the same. There are subtle differences in look and feel, and it is also very fast. I was mainly using Firefox but started to have issues with it so I switched to the new Edge.

Yes correct, when I tested Edge months ago it was very fast and I assume the newest version still is.

Does the dev version have more telemetry associated with it than the stable version? I use the dev version as a main driver, and wondered if the monitoring was any different.

Does anyone know if the server variants of the new Edge for servers are out of beta yet?
