    Short answer: No
But you can restore from a snapshot to a blank disk.

It's a very reliable tool, I use every day, for years.

Yes, it sure is very reliable. No doubt about that.
It just goes to show how such a tiny application can do such a great job.

@mood, thanks for the 'heads-up'. I've relied on this tiny gem for over 15 years and it has never failed me! :thumb:

Mine always works fine. 100% success rate without so much as a single hiccup for over a decade.

Is there really a need to overwrite it with these marathon new releases? Think not. Least not anymore unless some new feature is introduced. Make sense?

    Hi EASTER.

    I don't chase every update. I couldn't be bothered.
But people suffering from Update Addiction probably do. :geek:

Last notable change was with v47 where diffs could no longer use old full backups. You had to do a new full backup with v47 and start diffs from there. For old full/diffs you needed to use 1_46_0_18249/18250

I go by the moto: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". The only time I will even think about updating DS is when the size of the executable has changed. Since the developers rarely release change-logs I assume (right or wrong) that no file-size change indicates no functional change!

Same here. Not updated in several of these marathon releases simply because DS is a near-flawless product for what it was assembled to do. Which is back up and restore without issue or fail. Sort of cut & dried on this end for many moons.
