Maybe they release the perpetual beta of MBARW after the perpetual beta of MBAE has been released.
We'll see.

The perpetual beta will be offered for free and people who don't want or need an integrated AM solution can install either/both the AE or/and AR module.

And its being kept updated.

 

The update before this one was in September I think, this is a lot of time for malware. Does it have signature updates?

 

MBARW is a BB AR - no need for signature-based updates.

Yes, it seems my link is dead as Malwarebytes posted an updated thread on September 30th (my post was from an update posted on September 21st). It appears to be the same version that I had originally posted about but Malwarebytes posted a new thread for it and deleted the old thread about nine days after I made my post. I just missed the change that Malwarebytes later made.

Your link does appear to be for the latest version and still valid.

Those using MBAE together with Malwarebyte Anti-Ransomware Beta will currently find that newly updated MBARW to build 274 causes the mbae.exe process to be suspended. The MBAE services remain running but MBARW build 274 seems to consider mbae.exe to be ransomware. In the event of MBAE terminating processes I guess that no information on the event will be presented to users. No MBAE icon currently appears in the system tray if MBARW build 274 continues. I have noticed that automatic updates to MBARW seem to have ceased after Malwayebytes became aware of the problem.

I have asked Malwarebytes to push out an automatic update to restore those lumbered with MBARW build 274 to a functional equivalent of MBARW build 258. It remains to be seen if that happens.
