Really old Fujitsu laptop A series lifebook, circa 2003, 32 bit running win10

DEV MGR - other devices, mass storage device "?" the driver is protected, uninstall reboot, it's back!

I'm pretty certain it's from 'o2Micro'. Mass storage device camera card slot <won't be used>
search for associated files, NONE (o2*.*), does not appear in 'programs/files'
tried driver magician, finds intel & video card stuff.

    Thanks
    Rico

If it's not going to be used, you can just leave it. It won't be causing any problems.

    From FRST scan
    upload_2020-1-19_15-12-52.png

    Update wizard finds Zero:

This driver was not on FRST 'Fix' list

    PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_7130&SubSys_13V610CF&Rev-01 <from dev mgr>

This turns out to be Fujitsu o2micro smart card reader.

    Driver booster ignored
Found what was said to compatible driver from DevIdD_Agent. Said it installed rebooted & still error.
Tried SMARTCARD_O2MICRO_V3.0.0.7_XP_CA4 This gave no errors on install <reboot> Error still in dev mgr

Sounds quite similar to the Fujitsu combo floppy drive and smartcard reader internal unit I had for years. Card reader didn't play well at all with Win 10. Then caught it doing things quite suspicious. Finally, just unplugged the unit from the motherboard and never looked back on it.

    @Rico

I had some issues with a Lenovo Laptop which had Win 7 and was upgraded to Win !0 and driver could not be found "SD Card Reader".

(Image First) DriverMax which some find may to be a PUP found a compatible driver.

If used you can backup the Driver using Double Driver and reinstall after your backup,

    Regards.
