antivirus shuts down itself and it does alert at all about it. Maybe some sort of a bug

 

How do you see is shutting down?
EDIT: I could only see once "windows security" warning about ZA been off. But this was due to an update of ZA in the background and ZA was back as soon as the update was finished.

 

i contacted with support and they confirmed it and advice me to uninstall it and install back again even using temp file cleaning and also using uninstall tool
it just stayed off like frozen for hours

 

Uhm, ok, thanks... Does not happen here, so far.

 

OK, then I guess it's the same old GUI.

Hello. I wasn't sure whether to post this response here or not. Just wanted to say I have never been a member of this wonderful group until now but I have occasionally always followed you and other’s informative posting regarding security updates, news, etc.

I was wondering if you knew how ZA was able to then pass the second screening Banking Test in the recent AVLab? Did they use Extreme Security & wondered what what was then enabled? Did the Chrome Web Secure extension have anything to do with this? When reading AVLab's notes for ZA it seemed a little vague, as with others too.

Anyway, I am currently trialing The PRO Antivirus + Firewall and it is very smooth I must say! I wondered if this simplier version could have also foiled most of the simulated attacks too, or just the Extreme Security Suite with added Emulation and/or the new Ransomware module too. I also wrote to Checkpoint but have not received a response as of yet …

If yes, the best would be to check with avlab rather than ZA. From what I read, in the test they used the ZA Extreme version (still the old version 15.4), to pass certain tests they turned on the antikeylogger (only available in the Extreme version) and ARP protection (a setting of the firewall available for all ZA products).

So, in principle, apart from the keylogger, the version you use should cover the rest of the avlab tests. Of course, the extreme version will cover you from additional type of attacks (the emulator and the antiransomware module are quite solid) but if you feel more comfortable with the simpler version than go for it.

Thank You for that quite informative post btw! Sincerely apologize it has been awhile from me to reply... I am trialing Extreme Security at the moment to let ya know and will write more in a bit or tomorrow...want to give a screenshot of my specs too out of curiosity.
