For what it is worth I still have Unchecky installed; I am very careful when I install a new program but I feel more comfortable knowing if I fail to uncheck a box I have Unchecky as a backup. Out of curiosity I checked the Activity Log and it didn't indicate any activity. I intend on keeping it on my Windows 10 Home Edition. And like you, I would like hearing other member's opinions.

I've had Unchecky for 5 years, maybe more and it still works. I don't download a huge amount, but it blocked a couple of things on 26/06/19 according to the Activity log.

There's no need to stop using it, unless it is failing to block extras being installed. New versions of it improve the ability to block extras. But, if it's still working, then you may as well keep using it.

I thought it hasn't been updated in years though right?

Also still use it, as a backup, though it hasn't been updated / refined since April 2018. 'Twas a good idea for the click-hasty.

Probably because it was acquired from dev RaMMicHael by Reason Core Security in 2015 (Andrew Newman - Giant AntiSpyware, basis of the original Windows Defender, and later also herdProtect).
RCS has subsequently also gone 'dormant' (abandoned?).

RaMMicHael is seems to be around, posted in his blog in Nov '19. Would be good if he could 'retrieve' it.

The current version of Reason Antivirus - 1.0.0.34, which is the replacement to RCS, was released on the 25th of November.

Wasn't aware of another 'replacement' (herdProtect>RCS ...) ... Roger, do you know if it still includes Unchecky, like RCS did? Not that it would have had further updates ...
