I bought a license of total security and it keeps saying i have a trial version. Contacted support which by the way is very responsive , and the guy tried for half an hour to solve it and could not . Called me next day and said do not worry it is everything ok just the logo will show trial but you have the full version and protection. Lol is this a joke ? If you can not fix your own crap how on earth am I going to trust you . Time to move on . Back to Eset IS
McAfee Multi-Access Total Protection is provided free by my ISP ( Cox). They have informed me to install it, to protect my pc's to the point of almost a threat indicating Sality was on my pc and they would terminate my services if I didn't use McAfee and solve this "infection". I complied (even replaced pc and router) using many malware removers, etc but found no problems on my pc. I didn't like this attitude at all, but they are the only game in town that is acceptable for Internet, so I have it installed along with Defender and haven't seemed to have any problems. Cox does check my account, I know, as they told me so. Sometimes, it's easier just not to buck the system! https://www.tenforums.com/images/smilies/010.png

Anyone tried this McAfee Gamer Security? https://www.mcafee.com/consumer/en-us/store/m0/catalog/mgs_601/mcafee-gamer-security.html I'm not a gamer but it sounds interesting if it's any lighter than other McAfee products. They also don't mention if it comes with a firewall and bloatware like password manager, etc.
I just purchased the new McAfee Gamer Security and installed it. I am disappointed that it doesn't have an icon in the taskbar like normal programs and must be launched as a Windows Store app. The big issue for me is there are no settings to play around with. How do I add an exclusion to a certain file for example? It detected a false positive for me when I tried to run that file so I went to quarantine and it allowed me to restore the file but there is no option to exclude it from detection so the next time I tried to run it, it was quarantined again!
I get McAfee Total Protection from my ISP without a charge (actually included in my ISP subscription, but they like to say it's "free"). It runs alongside Windows Defender, Malwarebytes (Premium) and causes no problems with no noticeable slowdown, so I am keeping it for now.
I tried mcafee gamer Security for 5 minutes. Nothing for me. I went back to mcafee total Security PS i love games
