Didya visit the site? it's free... I have a license, my friends have a license, and its now one of our "backup" AVs. If you have SP2, security center won't trouble this AV/FW.

Well eTrust is around here for a quiet long time. Also Panda Platinum 7.
Not to mention free alternatives like avast!,AVG,AntiVir and so on...

It's just too bad that the new version doesn't support command line switches. I was happily using v6 for on demand scans like with my download manager and such, but I actually got official word that the new version doesn't support that kind of thing. Ah well..

I love eTrust AV, it's light, easy on resources, you won't even know it's there. I used it for years. The trouble is its lousy database. It just can't match the competition out there, competition like.....Kaspersky. I had 3 trojans on my PC and didn't even know it.

    I switched. ;)

What have those 3 trojans done all those years that you had not Kaspersky?

    Fellow Creatures,
Been using this EZAV offering on one of my two machines for sometime. For Free. I like it. Seems to be light on resources. Don't know what I'll do in a year but for now on this machine I'll stick with it. BoClean watches for the Trojans. :)

Silly, yes, but possibly meant to be confrontational as well. (sigh)

Caution: Etrust AV and ETRUST EZ AV are different, as on the "Best free AV, free or otherwise" thread.

    WARNING:
EZ Armor v7 is incorrect. It's still the latest version (2005) though. Includes AV+firewall.

NOTE: ETrust EZ is a different set of products from ETrust, both owned by CA.

    Botzap,

I think what gerardwil meant (excuse me if I am wrong, G) was what damage have they been doing?? You might want to check that out, as a helpful idea, not a slam. :D

hmm... the EZAV installer (trial verison of the FULL app, not the LE edition from this site) wants to remove ANY other AVs or it won't install, just like ZA's firewall/AV, and CA does have a partnership with ZoneLabs, taking Firewall tech and giving AV tech to ZA.
    comments?

This (ez armor) has the old version of ZA's firewall (v4.5 i think)
That was well behaved. Maybe u guys would rather have kerio+AVG or Kerio+Mcafee bundle from their site, eh?

LOL, eTrust didn't catch a VIRUS for the first time while it was the real time scanner for me. MKS VIR 2004 nailed it right away though. :)
