PS Tray Factory_v3.31 Cacheman_v10.60 Cacheman adds five icons to the system tray. They're very useful, but I wanted to reduce tray clutter so I installed PS Tray Factory. The problem is I can't change the icon order. In fact, the icon order changes with each bootup. There are two methods for reordering icons. Under the tab System Tray Icons List there are up and down arrows. The context menu (right-click icon) has the same up and down arrows. It's not working. A Google search produced no results about this problem. If there is a fix, I can't find it. There is a similar app called SysTrayX. Haven't tried it, but I will if the icon reordering feature of PS Tray Factory cannot be corrected.
I found these faq's where it mentions drag and drop, have you tried that? https://www.pssoftlab.com/faq.phtml
Yes, I have tried drag and drop. Doesn't work. PS Tray Factory and similar apps have mixed customer reviews. For some reason, tray managers always have quirky problems. Before performing a Google search, I just assumed that other PS Tray Factory users had the same problem. I was wrong. After several Google searches there is nothing about this problem in the Google database. I could send an email to pssoftlab.com. If no previous users have contacted them about this reordering failure, they won't be able to help. It's time to try a different tray manager.
