I enabled them all except those for 1st party cookies and 3rd party headers.

And it's for all installed apps, not just the browser, OS included.

Not to mention the granularity of the firewall's configuration. Selective application toggles for: cell and Wifi, cell and WiFi when screen is off, HTTPS filtering, protection and ad blocking. The latter justifies my opinion that AdGuard for Android has long surpassed its name. More accurately, AdGuard Security and Privacy Firewall for Android. But that would block way too much white space on the web site.

When networks logs lead me to discover my Samsung tablet SYSTEM was surreptitiously connecting to yahoo and paypal, I build rules for 'em. For example, ||yahoo.com/$app=system. That way I can still use the paypal app. And open such critical yahoo news links like "Which of Paris Hilton's famous old friends is in her new video?" I globally rule blocks to all social media domains.

DoH and DoT with a massive library of servers, worldwide. Logs. Telemetry. Whitelisting. AdGuard filter lists or select built-in (or other) AbBlock filter lists. Or both. Build your own list(s).

    https://kb.adguard.com/en/android/overview

I've been using Adguard for Android since early 2015 on my phone and tablet. I paid for a couple of years and went lifetime. Either way, its effectiveness makes the price point one of the greatest bargains in the biz. Just the fact you can't get it on the google play store is selling point Number One. You can set it up for family and freinds' devices and they won't know it's there.

Don't use an out-of-the-box Android device without it.

I use UBlock with Nano Defender so as to get ride of ads saying i should accept ads. It works good. Does the new Adguard Beta has any such feature?

I am trying the latest version, 7.0, and it is actually faster then UBlock/Nano Defender, so sites load markedly faster. So now my Pc is faster.
So far it also blocks ads about non-blocking ads, antiblock that is, at sites. Good job Adguard!

I have lifetime licenses. I go to Adguard site and download, I get version 3.11, not version 7.0. What is going on?

I imported list on filterlists, adguard adds them automatically. They seam to work (they did change my browsing experience)
    I can see mixed syntaxes
    0.0.0.0 domain_name.com
    domain_name.com
    ###domain_name.com

then I checked list specific to adguard, I can see:
    /domain_name.com
    .domain_name.com
    ?*.domain_name.com
in all cases domain_name.com was blocked?

    the recommended syntax
    | domain_name.com
    || domain_name.com

    EDIT
all of these rules do work
weird on main page it should be mentioned them rules, why using || if you can just enter domain name
is dev active in this forum?
to me adguard is a security tool, calling it ad tool is just limiting

    How did you measure that?

It seems the AdGuard dev doesn't visit this thread now, right?

And how exactly do you measure their effectiveness?

First of all I didn't write that I was looking forward to "measuring" effectiveness. And nothing about the comparison is "exact", for that matter.

I observe how the extension runs in the browser and on my computers. Is it in anyway interefering with other installed extensions? Is there a perceivable slowing down, or speeding up? Are any web pages being broken by any of the filters I've activated? Are ads getting through? How much attention does the extension need, and are the options many and varied? Is the interface intuitive? Are the filters easily updated?

All of these questions are addressed somehow, in some order, for each adblocking extension I have tried. I am left with either a good experience or a negative one.

It's a highly personal comparison, based on my own preferences, and the computers I run. So far, by the way, I like it just fine.

Is there a way to allow a site and all the sites called by this site ?
When I go into some banking account, and want to look at the alerts, several sites are called in cascade, too fast to see exactly, but it fails, and I get signed out.
    Thanks!

Edit: Adguard browser extension with Firefox

go to an ad testing page and use the network logger and compare entries and times. same time look at memory which may be a memory hog.
more versatile is ofc and anyway uBlock (origin) - and you can exchange lists in both directions.

Yeah I agree @fblais ... Some people need to learn English properly and stop using online translators and stop writing with their feet.
