Free remote support tool for a Windows Domain?

    We are looking for a free remote support tool for a Windows Domain. We've considered TightVNC, but there are so many alternatives.

    It's going to be used locally and should have a connections manager or similar application which allows to:

    list all computers
    view a live, resizeable thumbnail of desktops

    ...is this just fantasy?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    how many clients? or just remote servicing the server?

    About 40 clients, everything is LAN side.
    Some supervisors got to be able to monitor all desktops, provide support, etc.
