Has anyone tried or purchased v11? I'm still using v9. It's not the sort of application that I use often, but it hasn't let me down yet. I haven't even used the "Migrate OS to SSD/HD Wizard" before, as I have always used the Macrium Reflect clone function.
It doesn't look a lot different than v9, maybe a new function or 2, but nothing compelling for me anyway. The BOOTable CD is not FREE and is now WinPE-based rather than Linux-based. I still use v9.1 for everything I do and its worked fine. I had one anomaly while using v11... I was examining an 8tB 2-partition disk which was GPT formatted and it didn't recognize the smaller of the 2-partitions. I fired up v9.1 and it saw the disk as expected. I then fired back up v11 and it also saw the disk as expectred... go figure.
Same here. Also have experienced the same results as it's never failed me yet while used to recover excess disk partition space when I muffed a couple of Windows 10 new installs.
Likely the new version is another try (like other vendors) just to keep up with all the Windows 10 changes that throw a monkey wrench into already once working soft programs or attempt to correct issues introduced that Microsoft is so world renowned for.
With a licensed installed version you are able to create a WinPE-based Recovery Media. The pre-v11 media was LINUX-based and it was FREE... that has been eliminated with v11.
I am playing around with this. I have unticked "Show this window when starting application." to disable the startup screen. How do I get it back?
@Hadron ... exit PW, EDIT the "partitionwizard.exe.ini" file and set "ShowLoader=1"... that should get it back.
