No, Enpass still pops up wanting me to open my vault as soon as the machine starts. Same on all three of my Win10 x64 1809 machines.
I don't know. I think it's just the way they implemented the new version. Like a lot of companies theses days, they give us what they think we should have, not necessarily what we want. That's why I gave up on Norton's crappy password manager. They successfully screwed it up after NIS12 / N360v6 days until the point where it is now too much hassle to use. You might as well just have a book open with passwords written down for reference. Enpass take a little while to respond to support cases this time of year but I'm sure they will get in touch. Hopefully they fill provide a fix at some point soon.
I received this email the other day and that has been the extent of their so called support. I replied to clarify my issue but have not heard back. Not at all helpful.
I used to back up and restore over wifi between pc and iphone using the app, however with version 6 ios I can only find back up over wifi, not restore. Thanks again Enpass for messing things up when they worked. Is this their way to force us to use the insecure cloud?
I was being silly, I forgot that extensions can of course also read files from disk (they also read configuration files), so I guess passwords are indeed not stored on cloud.
Now I've just found out that even though I have the vault set to close when I lock the machine it is not being locked. Not really a huge problem I guess as if my machine is locked no-one should be able to access my vault anyway, just another screw-up that never existed with v5.x.
@Krusty Admittedly, the original release of v6 had some bugs, but they seem to be all ironed out now. At least for me they are. It is running great and syncing superbly on multiple computers. Browser integration is also working well now.
Not so for me, Hadron. Unless I block Enpass from starting with Windows I get the logon screen at Windows start. I've got around that by blocking Enpass starting with Windows, but unlike v5.x, I can't open Enpass from the browser extension unless it is running first = more clicks. The only setting that does appear to work is the vault does lock after (in my case) 30 minutes of the machine being idle. All other settings are ignored. Edit: To clarify, Enpass used to start with Windows but was minimised to the systray. Now instead it it is my face being needy, wanting me to login, then I can minimise it to the systray.
I have that installed but it doesn't start with Windows because I don't use Edge browser. Please also see my edit above.
I also don't use Edge. You can install Enpass via the Windows Store. I think the Store version is the best option which we need to become accustomed to. I didn't want to switch from the traditional Windows version, but that is the way things are heading, and it updates automatically. Uninstall the traditional Windows version, then if you still have problems, go to the Windows Store version and right click on it, select More > App Settings and select Repair. If that doesn't work, select Reset.
It looks like v6.1.1 is now behaving similar to how I had v5.x.x set, where it now starts with Windows but stays in the tray instead of opening the sign in screen. I can now open my vault from within Firefox and Chrome without having to close the sign in screen. Finally!
