Mozilla Firefox Browser Stable Version Releases

They've messed up the UI so badly that I as an old school diehard Firefox fan stopped using it for the past 3 years and switched to Chrome.

 

Chrome looks like old Firefox now. Will you switch to Chrome now?

 

That's what I said, I've switched to Chrome a few years back and never looked back.
I did try Firefox recently and OMG I had to do like at least 20 different tweaks to make it look have decent, it doesn't even have a bookmarks button on the top right I had to figure that one out by hitting customize and finding the bookmarks icon. Looks to me like one broken browser now, at least for I like my browser to function and look.

With Chrome, I just enter my Google credentials and everything is the same way I left it including all extensions and whatnot and I don't need to tweak nothing.

i dont have any problem you using chrome, but telling lies is not the nicest way.

sync is mandatory to keep settings and more when changing the system. this is also available for firefox. but the major difference is that chrome mandatory need sync to get the same look and feel everywhere, its not portable that way as firefox can do.
Google credentials - so you are the transparent user for google. thats one of the disadvantages when using a google account, on the other hand you are less bothered with captures because google tracks you behind the scene.

those are and how do you perform such tweaks on chrome?
in general chrome has only /flags - thats not even close to firefox prefs.

myself is using chromium as second browser, but not that often. it is configured same as firefox - i meant, it was my in between solution when upgrading from legacy firefox to quantum and chromium was my blue print for firefox that time. now its opposite.

I don't have an AV in Ubuntu so I should imagine I don't need to disable.

 

Seems that Fx68 has more issues than recent ones going by posts over at Reddit. I faced just one, the change in scrollbar's thumb and track appearance. A fix using CSS can be found at https://www.reddit.com/r/FirefoxCSS/
