Apple is portraying itself as the defender of privacy in the tech world

    Apple talks a good talk. But they allow lots of privacy-violating apps in their store.

    And sure, people would complain if Apple booted the (for example) Facebook app. But they can't have it both ways.

    iCloud uses only some end to end encryption, however, not everything is end to end encrypted. ->HERE<- is Apple's iCloud Security overview. Kind of confusing, however, you could quickly realize they are not fully end to end encrypted.


    My recommendations would be to replace iCloud with nextcloud or owncloud. They are both fully end to end encrypted, open source, and free. For password management I would highly recommend bitwarden. Again, uses end to end encryption, open source, and free. They can all be synced across all off your devices, windows, MAC, iOS, and Android.
