Yes, I regret it too, because I freaking hate Android! What a stupid OS, Google should stop with developing crappy software.

It's unhandy. For example, you have got a simple desktop and you have to swipe to see all of the app icons. Whats's up with that? No easy way to close apps. The settings are sometimes too complex. Android sucks!

You can put whatever app icons you want on the launcher, even every app if you want. Some launchers omit the app drawer altogether, so that apps shortcuts for every single app are shown on the launcher. You can close apps by using the back button. For the most part, you don't need to close apps, you just press the Home button to go back to the launcher.

If there's something you don't like about Android, you can customise it to work how you want it to. This is something you can't do with iOS devices.

I'm unhappy they gave up on it. I carried Windows phones for years as well as some other family members. My Lumia 920 was still my favorite phone. Now I'm stuck with a Samsung. Apple is not an option. :(

I still use my WP Lumia 830. Works fine for my needs (Here Drive and WhatsApp).

I'm sorry but there isn't anything you can say that will change my mind. Android sucks, it should have been way simpler. And BTW, I have to perform a swipe in order to close apps on my Android version. There is no close button, apparently the developers thought this was cool, what a joke.

That's what the back button is for. Anyway, there's no reason to close apps. There's also no close button on iOS, do you hate it too?

Exactly. Android's processes and application lifecycle is designed to not require user to close an app. It's feature, not a bug.

I have never used iOS, but I would probably hate it too. BTW, I think I have discovered a serious security issue on Android. Perhaps you can check it out. What happened is that I downloaded the Yahoo Finance app and signed in with username and password. After that I downloaded the Yahoo Mail app, and somehow it managed to auto-login, it didn't ask for username and password. So seems like apps can read each others login data. Or do you have any other explanation?

@Rasheed187 I've never used any of Yahoo's Android apps, so can't give any insight on that.

    No thanks Bill Gates.
You done enough damage peddling your platform to the government so they could use it against your customers and users to destroy privacy and decent education. Google has captured that ambition anyway and look at the mess things are in courtesy their smarts

What if Microsoft had invented Android?
There are plenty of reasons why it never could have happened, but if Microsoft had created Android, the tech world would be very different today

But perhaps you can at least test it? You will of course need to make a Yahoo account.

If they belong to the same vendor, some indeed doesn't requires you to input your credentials, some apps can even share the user datas liketthe avatar you use in one will be automatically used in the other.

You see, I knew it. This is a huge design error, because it makes secuity weaker. Android's security is a joke, everyone knows that.

Not everyone. While Android security could be better, I've got not complaints. I've been using Android devices for nearly 9 years, have installed hundreds of apps for the Play Store as well as many from third party app stores and have never got infected.

Correct, but I'm talking about the technical aspects. They made it way too easy for malicious and even so called "goodware" to spy on users. You should never be able to access login data from other apps, and I'm sure you already read about that it's quite easy for apps to simply ignore blocked app permissions. So yes, Android is a joke.
