from majorgeeks download all is fine
now from winrar.com the file is weird and eset blacklisted it
also found other winrar sites with extension depending on country set in browser (ie .it, pl and so on)

If I'm not sure about the real homepage of an developer I look at the "author" section (on a legit download site) e.g majorgeeks >> https://www.rarlab.com/
About the other site I got no clue but better safe than sorry.

    no, it's not. rarlab.com, win-rar.com and winrar.com are all legit. winrar.com redirects to win-rar.com.

Eset is blocking winrar.com under PUA catagory. So it appears something is being "served up" prior to the redirect to win-rar.com.

yup, that'd when I added that site to my HOSTS file to never accidentally visit it. It was ESET's HTTP scanner that first warned me about it.

I tried to visit winrar.com and was just redirected to the right site. No security alerts on my side.

Same here with Kaspersky. It just redirects to win-rar.com

might be a fp on eset's side, due to its heuristics engine.
