jp, i never used their service, but i can say that you should definitely avoid a uk based vpn service provider. the uk is one of the least privacy-friendly countries in regard to online privacy & vpn services.
There's like a gazillion VPNs. VPN service packages, not much more complicated than WordPress, are available. I generally recommend one of the VPN services that's been known and trusted for several years. Such as AirVPN, IVPN, Mullvad or PIA.
Hi imdb & mirimir, I'm not convinced that VPNUK still exists so I've abandoned them. Sounds like I did the right thing! My search for an alternative to ProtonVPN ultimately led me to IVPN. I seem to recall that mirimir uses this VPN provider so that's a recommendation. So far, I'm impressed with IVPN. Everything just works as it should. Breath of fresh air. JPC
