This works for me despite my saying don't do it. I made sure it was a correct line. But with a single disk it would be OK for you.

    Code:
    snapshot64.exe --EntireDisk G:\zzz\DSdiff\I-diff.sna HD2 -Y

    Hadron,

I forgot to mention TBWinPE has an inbuilt File Explorer. Click Scripts, TeraByte Explorer 3.14. It is very powerful but confusing at first. More powerful than Windows Explorer. Press F1 for Help.

Edit... It is powerful. I just used it to delete the Windows\System32 folder. Now Win10 doesn't boot. As expected.

    Thanks, Brian.
I'll have to check out TeraByte Explorer when I get a chance.

My UFD and disc already has Explorer++ (x64), and I haven't found a fault with it in RE or PE. I set it all up with my preferred settings before I added it.
The settings are all stored in config.xml. I have it set to open at This PC. That way, it always finds it (rather than a drive letter), and gives me a good view of all my drives.

I will be sticking with PE for my use, unless a need arises to use another option.

I like TBWinPE and I now prefer Explorer++ over A56.

TeraByte Explorer has a good Partitioning component as well.

Is this TeraByte Explorer? I haven't looked at it myself yet.

That's it. You got onto that Options menu fast.

I use it to copy files to/from partitions not seen by Windows. There is a TeraByte Explorer in Windows, TBWinPE/RE, BootIt and IFL.

Viewing contents of saved disks images works well.

@Brian K-I realize this is OT but seeing you have indepth experience with IFW-Is it capable of backup and restore more than common Drives, for example USB Pens in safety. Or is it not recommended. IFW seems to been a dependable alternative for you which apparently is compatible across different platforms with a variety of usages.

@EASTER - not sure about Brian but IFW has been my go-to app for all my flash Media imaging (since REFLECT refuses to do so).

Thanks-I been testing explicitly for this same purpose. Mine is so outdated-USB Flash Tools by Sarah Dean.

    Hello,
I do not use TBWinPE but instead use TBWinRE. I also prefer Explorer++ over A56 so this brings me to ask a question. Does Explorer++ also work with TBWinRE as it does with TBWinPE? I assume that it does but wanted to verify before I change my TBWinRE builds to it...

    EASTER,

I'm with TRF and use IFW to backup UFDs. On the "Select the hard drive or partition to backup:" window, select the drive. HD 3 or whatever. You must have a tick in the HD line and another tick in the partition line. If you only tick the partition line the restore won't work. When you restore the image, to a full or empty UFD (it doesn't matter if the UFD has data), on the "Select the drive or partition(s) to restore:" window, select the drive so you see 2 ticks. On the "Select the drive you want to restore to:" window, select the drive. The line with the HD number.

    Kent,

I'd keep using TBWinRE. The only difference I can see is RE has the Recovery options. I use PE as it boots a few seconds faster in my computer. Big deal.

Making a PE is a pain. You have to download and install the Windows ADK which takes up 3 GB of space in the C: drive. I then copy the "Assessment and Deployment Kit" and "Catalogs" folders to my data drive so I can restore yesterday's C: drive image and get rid of the ADK to reclaim 3 GB of space. The two folders I mentioned are used in creating TBWinPE. The Program path for ADK.

    Hello @Brian K,

That is OK as I am not planning on using a PE environment but am staying with RE. I take it from your answer that Explorer++ will work properly in either PE or RE.

Yes, it will work in both.

Edit... When I added Explorer++ yesterday it didn't appear in the TBLauncher menu. I'd forgotten to update this line from 11 to 12...

    Code:
    [Menu]
; Number of menu items to process. If the program for the item isn't found, the item is ignored.
    ItemCount=12

Yes, I've used Explorer++ (x64) with both when I was testing, but settled on PE.

    By the way.
If you don't like the blue bar at the bottom, it's under View > Display Windows.
The standard status bar stays there, but the blue status bar goes. Just a personal choice.

None since a year ago. Version changes on a monthly basis, but I'm not sure if the program gets any actual updates besides the version number.
