Hi to all. Is there any member of Wilders who can analyze in detail the connections created by this browser? https://browser.360.cn/ee/en.html 360 (Chromium 69) can be installed on XP and also on W.2000. I think it's the only version of Chromium 69 that has these features. Edit. Connections reported by a user who installed it on W.2000 on a single website:
I stopped using it a long time ago because it was secretly sending data to a blacklisted site in China.
I think today's browser is different from what you mention. But I'm not sure in the absence of this analysis.
There are some informations but rather about older versions (8 and lower)...and yes there are ones also that show bad side of 360 Browser e.g. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/02/01/qihoo_government_warning_fraud/ https://docs.google.com/document/d/1b7lenmn5XO06QohaJzVffnJxjXjY1rD70wg34gfuxRo/edit Fortunately present version is 11.0.2052 so wes can hope it's more secure and not so vulnerable. There is no special warnings on the page of DigitalDetective so shouldn't be worry...probably https://kb.digital-detective.net/display/BF/360 Browser https://kb.digital-detective.net/display/BF/360 Security Browser#app-switcher https://kb.digital-detective.net/display/BF/360 Speed (Extreme) Browser Qihu 360 EB works fine on Vista and in fact it's the newest Chrome engine for old browser (I will try it on XP in few days) which I can find. It has own addons store (mainly in Chinees version) but supports also official for Chrome so we can have browser with addons in understandable language
@ichito Thank you very much. You may find the info in this other discussion useful. https://msfn.org/board/topic/178380-is-chrome-360-safe-chromium-69/page/3/#comments
Due to the privacy concerns, I've just switched back to Cent Browser. I had issues with Cent freezing a while back, which led me to use 360 again. But this time, Cent is working fine and is a better option. It's using a later version of Chromium (72 vs 69) and with 360 I did not have spell checking or search suggestions in the address bar.
Have you tried it on Windows XP? There is a new version update 11.0.2086.0 EDIT Check to see if this privacy issue and related fix are present: https://www.techpowerup.com/247931/chrome-69-adds-forced-login-threatens-privacy-how-to-fix-it
Seems that this (DoaJC_Blogger) guy is working to bring Chromium 76 to Win Xp https://browser.taokaizen.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3219#p3219 https://browser.taokaizen.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2766 Maxthon Browser for XP https://browser.taokaizen.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2764
Hi...sorry for my late reply Yes...it (latest build) works correctly on XP but my impression is - on Vista it works lighter and faster...and I don't know why on XP installation screen is in Chinese (on Vista was in English)...something went wrong Maxthon is working in similar way btu Chromium XP don't wan't do this because of error - no entry point of procedure AcuireSRWLockExlusive in Kernel32.dll. So...I think I have two other option to replace old Chromium Advanced - 360 EB and Maxthon.
