Fedora 30 test on laptop with Nvidia - Back in 2010

    Today, we have a long, thorough review of Fedora 30 tested on a dual-boot laptop with Nvidia graphics, including installation and re-use of the old home directory data and settings, numerous configuration niggles, poor hardware compatibility with Nvidia driver setup and associated problems, Wireless card problems, suspend & resume problems, kernel oops, application crashes, average performance, other observations, and more.     Back in 2010 indeed.
    Just before reading your article I realised I couldn't properly install Wine in Xubuntu 18.04.
    Either through the repositories or using the PPA the result is the same: it installs but doesn't run. There are others with the same issue.
    Also, Gnome Software is far from a polished app :mad: the late Ubuntu's was far better.
