Today, we have a long, thorough review of Fedora 30 tested on a dual-boot laptop with Nvidia graphics, including installation and re-use of the old home directory data and settings, numerous configuration niggles, poor hardware compatibility with Nvidia driver setup and associated problems, Wireless card problems, suspend & resume problems, kernel oops, application crashes, average performance, other observations, and more. Have fun. https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/fedora-30-hp-nvidia-review.html Cheers, Mrk
Back in 2010 indeed. Just before reading your article I realised I couldn't properly install Wine in Xubuntu 18.04. Either through the repositories or using the PPA the result is the same: it installs but doesn't run. There are others with the same issue. Also, Gnome Software is far from a polished app the late Ubuntu's was far better.
