I wonder how the 15% discount still makes 70$ for 2 years if one year is 35$ :D Untitled - Copy.jpg

It was a bug with the sales pricing. It's being fixed as we speak.

In the next few weeks we will be going into the beta phase for 4.0. If any forum members are interested in looking at the new UI please send an email expressing your interest to support@blackfog.com and we can add you to the list.

    Hello,

are there some people using blackfog desktop and steam europe ?
I have 4 suspicious addresses from china recurrently
    unsafe connection from:
    180.101.192.197
    180.101.192.198
    203.80.149.65
    203.80.149.66
    ex: https://www.glasswire.com/host/180.101.192.197

Is this normal in the context where steam europe may use Chinese servers within its organization in a legal way (such as relaxing network overload or using a Chinese proxy anti-spam)
or is it China data collection/spam on steam europe ?!

    kind regards

If you are happy and sure that these are indeed Steam servers you can certainly whitelist them. If it is really Steam they should not be using direct IP addresses in the first place. We will investigate these some more and let you know.

I noticed a recent forum comment that said we were very expensive, and after reviewing other security vendors I am rather perplexed. If you look at prices from many others we are actually one of the lowest. So I am wondering, what you are comparing BlackFog to? If the answer is AV vendors, then this is not comparable, since they are signature scanners. But if you compare us to any modern tool, such as Glasswire, Hitman Pro etc etc, then you will see we are either the same, or much lower, but offer quite a number of functional differences and additions. Interested in the forums input on this.

This was also perplexing to me! The price of BlackFog is very generous ( I think 5 computers are allowed !). Thank you!

Absolutely, Blackfog Desktop is not expensive at all
You can use a single license for a computer and a smartphone

By the way, it seems that BlackFog Privacy is not able to remove cookies from firefox
i always use ccleaner to do this..

Darren, is this correct? I was under the impression that a separate licence was required for each device.

Yes that is correct. When we released Android edition we allow you to use that with the same key. Doesn't currently work on iOS though because of the App Store rules, but we are working on it. There are some loop holes apparently because MS clearly let you do that. So we are trying to understand from Apple how that is permitted.

My laptop decided to destroy itself, so now i need to use Huawei Mediapad t3 tablet and i'm testing Blackfog on it, but all i see is ads being blocked and nothing else

I also have F-Secure Sense router that blocks tracking and harmful websites, so i guess thats the cause, but was hoping that Blackfog would be blocking more, but maybe i just need to use it more.

Also after restarting my tablet the stats are reseted also, so is that by design or a bug?

BlackFog will block anything that gets through. So watch it over the week and you will see what it has been doing. Yes the stats will not persist after reboot on Android. We didn't feel people would reboot too often on Android. But would consider adding persistence.

Lately when I bootup BF is showing to be not active. I have to check for updates before it becomes active. Maybe not a big deal. Just say'n.

So you say if I buy the windows version I get a free android key? If yes you should get this information easier/clearer to see on your website. 2 licenses for the price of one are not so shamefull you got to hide it :D

How should Facebook blocking work on android?

I have it enabled, but Facebook and Instagram still work on Firefox and other browsers and view events doesn't show any Facebook blocks.

    Nice!

Do you have to be a paid member to beta test?
