While it sounds impressive, the reality is that Quick Heal has absolutely terrible detection rates. For some time they used Bitdefender signatures alongside their own, but they no longer do so - not even with this new version. This is the reason it performs so badly. Quick Heal does upload some unknown files for analysis, which means that in time they will add signatures for some of the files they miss.
@Ultra Male You're welcome. It's strange that chose to stop using BD signatures, when their own are so bad.
Cost cutting measures, and discontent with BitDefender are the reasons. A lot of companies are shifting away from the BD engine because BD's SDK doesn't offer exactly the same protection as BD itself, and this means the SDK products can't catch up unless they make a significant technology investment. Most would drop the investment entirely and focus on marketing, hence QH is no longer having BD.
