USA still the best. But barely.
    Welcome BD!!!
I have been a satisfied BDIS user for 5 years.

One thing I mention over & over is Bitdefender has FREE by # 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Help.

I've just followed the link above and found out that Internet Explorer version 10 or higher is required to install Bitdefender Internet Security. Maybe it's a dumb question, but why do I need IE to run Bitdefender Internet Security?

Hi there. Bitdefender uses the Internet Explorer 10 framework in order to function properly. IE is already installed on your system, just check if it`s an updated version.

Remember you talk to people on a computer security forum. Chances are good that windows is highly modified. (Like uninstalling all bloat....)

This is exactly the point. IE is not needed here, so I removed it. Consequently, my computer does not meet the minimum system requirements to install/run Bitdefender. Making IE mandatory to run an anti-malware app is questionable at best.

Will be interesting what changes bitdefender make this year. I have been using total security since December and have been happy with it.
The main improvement I would like to see is a reduced installation footprint (currently around 1GB) . A general tidyup would be good such as:
    1. One entry in add /remove programs (currently 3)
    2. less folders created by the product.

It's scheduled for testing pretty soon over at MT by @harlan4096 and he has been made aware of this, so we will know then.

I just wanted to see the survey for the beta (because I'm curious). After about 6+ pages or so and still at about 54/100% i got bored and left. They seems to take the: "We will be accepting only 150 people, and those selected should be eager to commit to an engaging, but demanding experience" serious.
So it's a bit like the lottery :D

You have to be kidding me, why would it need to rely on IE 10? Seems like Bitdefender needs to be redesigned.

use of IE's framework isn't exactly uncommon - numerous other products require it as well.

I just purchased Bitdefender Total Security. I had been using Kaspersky AV the last few years.
I have an issue with BD Safepay. To log into my online banking, I need to put in my Access Number and then Password. There is a box, "Remember me" to check off, and the Access Number is retained on the banking web site and all I have to key in is my password.
Bitdefender Safepay does not retain the access number. Its a major headache to have my Access Number available to key in....Kaspersky retained it.

Why does Safepay not retain this when I check off the "Remember me" box?
