I've never used it, but it was previously called Eassos System Restore. Eassos also publish PartitionGuru.

Tried and it's already gone. Couldn't see a way to set the destination.

Sounds like it's a paperweight already.

It creates a new partition to backup to, as you can see in the screenshot.

    ISOO.png

The purpose of this software is to create a recovery partition you can use to restore your system from, if your system fails to boot. According to Softpedia it can add itself as an option in the Windows boot menu, or you can configure to run when you press F11 when booting.

There's some more information about it, as the following link.
    https://www.eassos.com/how-to/how-to-backup-a-computer.php

I haven't used it myself, other than to install it and grab the screenshot. But it has been mentioned in the past here and there were issues with it.

You're welcome. Quite possibly it works well, for it's intended purpose of doing system recovery, rather than restoring the backup to a clean hard drive. But, I'll stick with using AOMEI and an external hard drive for my backups.

In the backup window you can use the OPTIONS button to set the backup destination. Speed was about 60% slower than standard Macrium REFLECT, compression was about the same. It appears to be a hybrid imager of sorts... backs up files as well as all disk structures required for recovery and re-imaging. Has an easy to use EXCLUSION list ('cause it's some sort of file imager).

When I tried a 2nd operation (offering me an Incremental option) it said my TRIAL had ended. I'll play some more but at the moment it's pretty weird.
