I have an old Windows 8.0 Refurbished Laptop which is quite old now. I want to replace it with a Windows 10 Budget Priced Laptop (Either New or Refurbished). The primary use would be for surfing the web during infrequent Hotel Stays. Any suggestions? Thanks in Advance.
TheKid7, If it's just for web surfing and email, get an Android tablet. I no longer take my laptop on holidays. I take an 8" tablet. My wife takes her 10" tablet.
@TheKid7 What are the specs of the laptop? You can still upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or 8, for free. With a clean install of Windows 10, it might work well enough that you don't need to replace it.

Windows 10 should run fine on that computer. Lenovo have even released Windows 10 drivers. You just need to launch the setup file for Windows 10 (which you can do with a Windows 10 ISO which you can download, or using Microsoft's Media Creation Tool) and then you can choose to upgrade your current install of Windows to Windows 10, or install Windows 10 without keeping anything. If you do the upgrade, then Windows 10 will be automatically activated after being installed. If you choose to keep nothing, you can activate Windows 10 with your Windows 8 product key. Once Windows 10 is activated, you will have a digital license, which allows you to reinstall Windows 10 whenever you want, without needing a product key.

I don't understand why you need the Product key if your key is embedded already? (unless I've misunderstood something here) I usually select to not activate until the upgrade /install is finished (I select I do not have a key) After the upgrade/install reboot the key is usually activated.

I finally successfully upgraded (clean install) the Lenovo IdeaPad N586 Laptop to Windows 10. No issues were encountered. Windows 10 automatically installed all of the 'essential drivers' that I needed. One thing is not showing up in the Device Manager. It is most likely the camera. I don't like have a camera, so I did not install the Lenovo Drivers/Software for the camera. I also installed the Lenovo Diagnostics Software and a few Lenovo utilities.
