    Hi:
I have 5 RGBs fans connected and my question is why the fans speed down and up? Has anyone has the same issue? Thank you in advance for your reply.

We need more information When did the problem start?

Where are the fans connected to? Are these all case fans?

On many systems, depending on where the fans are powered from, their rotation speed is designed to vary depending temperatures the motherboard sees. Even if one fan is being controlled by the temperatures, that could change the pressure dynamics within the case and that could cause the rotation speeds of all the other fans to vary a little. Being RGB, that would be quite noticeable.

Note that 5 case fans is a lot - more than most cases need for most users. Tell us more about the computer.

well I bought 5 rgb led fans set: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07DHM9BWB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and one is acting as a cpu exost fan for my liquid (changed the original fan to the rgb fan) cooler: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B074CWS1Q8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1and all are connected to the rgb wired controller (all can be considered case fan with the exception of the one used on liquid cooler. that one is connected to the rgb controllers and not cpu fan header since it does not have a cpu fan header. The fans are 2 front, 2 top(exost) and one back(exost as CPU fan for liquid cooler)

Also the temp is in low 30Cs and when stressed tested the cpu it capped at 69C but all are in 30cs and 40cs during normal work. Also the system is a ryzen 3 2200g with onboard GPU so no secondary gpu. Also the PSU is a 650w beats power and only M.2 nvme ssd and a mult dvd burner with 32GB dual channel ddr4 corsair rgb rams and gigabet dual channel wireless network card with bluetooth 5.0 card and rgb strip lightings are all about it.

So this has been happening since you first set this up?

And the controller gets its power directly from the PSU, right?

That would point to the controller or the PSU. If you set the controller to run all the fans at full speed, is the speed stable then?

Beats power supply? Never heard of them. Please verify the brand name and tell us the model number. If me, I would temporarily swap in a different PSU and see what happens. If the PSU is not a quality supply, it may not be outputting clean power or regulating its output very well and that maybe causing these wavering speed issues. If so, the greater concern would be the extra strain put on your motherboard's voltage regulation circuits. 650W is plenty big, but it needs to be good, clean, stable power.

yes the controller gets the power from psu and it has 3 button and one is for speed. so I keep pressing it but no change in the speed? this is a custom build PSU. I believe this the PSU: https://www.amazon.ca/Apevia-ATX-BE...wer psu&qid=1557845416&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmr0. the motherboard is: https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/A320M-HDV R4.0/index.asp

I would verify it is connected properly. If it is, no change in speed suggests a problem with the controller.

Apevia is not known to be one of the better quality brands but regardless, even if you had a top quality Seasonic or EVGA, until man can create perfection 100% of the time, there could always be bad units. I think you need to beg, borrow, or steal a different supply to swap in and see if the problem remains. If so, then I would blame that fan controller.

well before upgrading to the RGB fans the 4 led fans plus the cpu fan that came originally with the system were doing all fine in the old case. this is since I change the LED fans to these RGBs fans that is doing like this.

Then it seems like the controller for the new fans is your problem.

Are you sure the speeds are changing and not just the pattern of the lights?

Just a wild guess. Sometimes when you have multiple fans working on the same enclosure, fan speeds will start oscillating. And if they're all at about the same speed, you'll hear varying beat frequencies. That's especially noticeable in servers with multiple ganged fans.

USA still the best. But barely.
Yes as mentioned there's a fair amount of variables. Placement of components. Placement of fans, fan direction, clear air flow & number of fans.

In ancient times when I built my last tower I used only 3 fans. They were large diameter Antec fans something like 80, 120 idr.

One fan blowing on the CPU heatsink. Replacing the stock one.

The other 2. Front fan on the bottom sucking in fresh cooler air. Rear fan on top blowing out hot air.

OP I'm sure you've covered these. In case that's all.
    Hope you get sorted.

you know. now that I observe , it seems during the white light change I see the fan blades looking like it slows down and on other colours there is no change. So could be the colour white makes it look like the fan is slowing down??

you maybe right it is the white pattern change that shows like a slow down.

If your monitoring program does not show the speed of individual fans, you should be able hear if a fan's speed changes. You can get a paper towel tube to use as a stethoscope to focus in on individual fans too.

I have changed the fan of liquid cooler to another single mult-co lour led fan and this time I connected the fan to cpu fan and all is well with the rotation and speed.
