I apologize for my bad English, but I have not found a forum in Italian .... I can't activate ASRM acronis startup recovery manager (F11 at boot) on linux (dualboot with xp) - I installed xp and Acronis 2013 (on sda1) - I installed linux Mate 18.04 64-bit and its bootloader (on sda2) - I started XP and clicked on ASRM, but it crashes (Unable to write to sector '28 .676 ... 'of hard disk' 1 ') P.S. eliminating (formatting) the Mate partition, ASRM is activated regularly ... thank you nik
I'm only guessing here It looks like a BOOTloader issue. Are you BOOTing your dual-boot System through the Windows BOOTloader or Grub. I'm sure Acronis needs to do its installation through the Windows BOOT loader... it doesn't know Grub. If you install XP, then ASRM (successfully), then install Linux... the main BOOTloader will most likely be Grub and for multi-BOOTing it should lead you to the Windows BOOTloader which should include ASRM at that point. Other than that, I haven't a clue, sorry
