Doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm forking, forking. Behold! A thorough, enthusiastic review of KSysGuard, a powerful, extensible system monitoring utility in Plasma, including basic and advanced features, additional tabs and sensors, third-party sensors, remote connectivity, tools and filters, customization, other tweaks, and more. Take a look. https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/plasma-ksysguard.html Cheers, Mrk
This leaves a sour taste. On one hand it is a wonderful tool, but on the other Process Explorer has been around for, what, 15 years? Not to mention the abundance of similar apps for Windows. It's like Mint Cinnamon recently announcing, with great fanfare, icons on the task bar (pardon, panel) ... only 8 years after Win 7 introduced it And even the name is convoluted, KSysGuard. Sysinternals utility to control autoruns is called ... Autoruns. Maybe too obvious for the Penguin world, maybe. We do things differently right?
Because Linux has had all this on the cli for over 9,000 years That's the big difference. Getting system data is much easier in Linux - and you don't need a UI for that. Mrk
i had been looking at ksysguad to see if it could monitor in realtime like process explorer , as far as i could see it can't, but i did find "system load" widget, which does about the same thing
