I can't at this time (perhaps without some special "maneuvers") install it...it detects key from SS FW and try to use it to activate SS Silent and obviously without effect so I can't even open app window. Looking at screenshots we have application that can be compared to ZAL Free but with many settings/options. I can't predict is it good move or not...I feel a bit disapointed but honestly it's hard to say what we should expect from developer.
Do you maybe have the full SS program installed? Because if you do, I am pretty sure that is why you can't install SS silent. Do a full uninstall of full SS, reboot, and try to install SS free.
Are you kidding me, I'm very disappointed, what a major buzzkill! It's basically a stripped down version of the freeware version that you now have to pay for. Seems like they have also stopped offering lifetime licenses for all SS versions. There are still tons of things that could be improved with SS Premium, but they refuse to do so and I'm not counting on it anymore.
I also am disappointed. I was hoping for a product that offers more. Instead we got a product that offers less. There is plenty to improve in ransomware protection, that is what Datpol should be thinking about if they want to get anywhere.
Yep. One year ago they have discontinued (October 13, 2016) the free version and now they are offering it with less features as a paid version
It's basically a better version of KeyScrambler, they will certainly sell a few. But why say "a new product will join the family", when there is nothing new about it. Blocking ransomware isn't its main goal, but I was hoping for a better event log, network monitor and sandbox. Not to forget about an "application guard" that protects against password-stealers and better protection against code injection/process hollowing.
I am using this on computers for people that cannot handle pop ups that ask to allow or not , this is easy no pop ups just works , well I hope . Tested for a week and so far works without problem , perfect for some . Every layer helps Like Rasheed said , some type of event logging would be nice ,
No...Silent was planed without HIPS and this affects its features https://www.spyshelter.com/download-spyshelter/
