    I'm not aware of specific drivers being needed. There are none mentioned in those links in my post above.

    OK thanks. So it looks like this approach will most likely not stop malware from injecting code into the browser.

    Finally, this auto-playing madness needs to stop! I'm currently using an extension to block this but it might break certain sites and doesn't always work.

    I have asked this before, but does anyone know where you can post feedback to Firefox developers? Couldn't find a good site for this. I want to switch from Vivaldi to Firefox, but I can't until certain things are fixed. Think of placement of tab bar in bottom of screen, ability to close tabs with double click and a tab-based bookmarks manager. Believe it or not, but these basic things are still not available in Firefox Quantum, and developers don't seem to care.
