WPS Office Free lately, it has literally zero functionality, so almost zero exploitability. If I ever need to work with PDF, I can always use a portable PDF reader.

Is there a reason you prefer Foxit over Okular?

Basic editing and can easily import signature image. In short, bit more to it than Okular.

    Thanks, Iangh.
Okular offers several annotation options, including Typewriter, but I suppose you mean Foxit has some more advanced editing option. I couldn't find the information about what the Foxit Reader options in Linux were, exactly.
And I don't know about importing signature image. Nice to know that Foxit offers such option.
It's been a very long time since I used Foxit in Windows, since then I've been using PDF-XChange Viewer and later Editor. In Kubuntu, I plan to use Okular, but it's good to know of Foxit options. Thanks again.

I still have Okular installed just in case there is a problem with Foxit. The one thing I really like, and forgot to say, about Foxit is tabbed pdfs - so much easier to view an open pdf by clicking a tab.

I gave up and switched to using a browser. Adobe just has too many security issues.

According to the Okular documentation, opening new files in tabs is disabled by default. (1)
Opening new documents in new tabs can be enabled by checking the "Open new files in tabs" option on the general configuration page. (2) (3)

Thanks for pointing that out! I had changed the default quite some time ago.

Does any pdf viewer has option to open file from url? Currently I download file and open this file.
I don't want in-browser plugins, just way to copy paste url to pdf viewer.

    "Both ways."

If it's an online file I open it with a browser (mostly SeaMonkey; sometimes Internet Explorer; occasionally Opera or Firefox).
[Unless there's a problem, or a non-preferred configuration, in which case it's handled as for offline files.]

For offline files I mostly use PDF-XChange Editor (version 7, "portable" version). [I'm impressed to see so many other users of this software on the forum!]
Occasionally I use Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader DC.
I also had Foxit PhantomPDF installed, but almost never use it.

Some may be interested in the following forum post regarding 'security' of digital signatures in PDF files, which also contains a short update on the status of PDF-XChange Viewer.

    PDF-XChange Editor 8.0.334.0 (PDF editor and viewer) released (November 4, 2019). [1] [2]
    PDF-XChange Editor 8.0.334.0 fixed a potential vulnerability reported in CVE-2019-17497. [2] [3] [4] [5]
For me, that was reason to upgrade my old PDF-XChange Editor 6.0.322.7 to the current version 8.0.334.0.
