i'm not on 1809, but mine blocks cortana and comattelrunner, not like i care about either of these, but you could just add them to the allowed group and problem solved?

They were already in the trusted list, if that is what you meant, but firewall still blocked them. Sure, I could make a firewall allow rule for them, and in fact I did, but that required wildcarding the path to do the job right. It just irked me.

it's only the firewall that's blocking it, the container isn't auto-containing it due to it being Trusted from the Cloud.
i feel like it's intended or it's caused by some ports being auto blocked by the firewall that these are using.

@mekelek I took a look at your signature: Current setup: Comodo Firewall 10.2, Kaspersky Internet Security 2019(App cont, Firewall off)
And I am, like, wut? He runs KIS and CFW together??
1 How did you get them to work together (and to even install one on top of the other)?
2 What does it mean, "App cont"? Does Kaspersky have an app container??

    they work perfectly fine together.
    App cont = Application Control
they screwed up Application Control in 2019 (at least for me), it literally blocks everything that doesn't have thousands of users, i just couldn't bare it. every installation went failed since KIS decided to block something always. 2018 doesn't have this issue, but it doesn't have AMSI scanning either.
Firewall is disabled, Application Control is disabled, and Comodo is replacing both of it. HIPS is obviously off.
Ran KAV 2019 before but I needed Safe Money (which just needs Application control turned back on till you're done)

NOD 32 is a perfect replacement of Kaspersky in this combo, but i just can't give up the fastest signatures on the market.

Interesting. I think you won the prize for the most creative combo.

messed around with a couple of variants, as i said i had NOD32 with Comodo before, was so lightning fast it was unbelivable. but still, i'm not gonna give up on protection for a few seconds.

I'll give it the stupid combo award. If there are two products mutually exclusive that's exactly Comodo and Kaspersky.

    Hi
I installed CIS on partition D: but at the same time a lot of folders installed on C:. Some is of course as it should be but there are 2 set.up installations folders.

Why, some type of safety i guess?
I guess they are ok to delete if i want to?

Wasn't there supposed to be a new GUI for v11? When I looked at the Comodo links the other day, it looks the same.

I have been testing version 12.0.0.6798 and it seems to run great. The GUI looks the same.

My 2 cents about the latest beta:

I tried Comodo Firewall 12 and it seemed stable but it caused a few problems on my system:

First the installer was unable to restart the computer and to autostart the installer to continue the installation so I had to reboot manually and to restart the installer to complete the installation.

    1. nVidia driver failed to install (even when I disabled all components using the slider) and checked all my settings

    https://i.imgur.com/QX0B6GB.png

Of course I removed the old driver with DDU in Safe Mode, I tried the Clean Install option, I unchecked all drivers (except the graphic one) and nothing worked. I was able to install it in the Safe Mode but nVidia telemetric service failed to install there so the driver didn't work as it should.

    2. Some of the installers started to give me the following error: "NSIS Error writing temporary file" even when the permissions of my %temp% folders were properly set and I don't have any issues with the Environment Variables settings.

For some of the installers (like FormatFactory) I found a workaround:

    clearcomputerhelp.co.uk/how-to-fix-nsis-error-writing-temporary-file-for-downloaded-installers-on-windows/

but this method didn't work for the latest version of FileZilla so I had to download the zipped version and to replace the files manually to update it. Very annoying.

When I removed Comodo Firewall 12 both issue disappeared. I don't have these issues with Comodo Firewall 11.

I had another issue with Comodo Firewall 12 - it blocked the access to bitsadmin.exe but I resolved it by unblocking the file using the Unblock Applications. It's really strange why I didn't receive any pop-up to block or allow it (AS USUAL) and it was automatically blocked by the HIPS.

Another strange fact in CF 12 was the slow pop-up from the HIPS when the nVidia driver tried to modify the registry...the installation failed long before the pop-up appeared. I checked the changelog of 12 and they indeed added more registry protection but the pop-up appeared a bit slowly.

I will stay on 11 until these issues are fixed. :)

Btw when I reverted back to version 11 they released a new build of 11 and when installed some of the windows didn't react when clicked on them...I had to kill the Comodo's processes via the Task Manager and when the program started again the issue was gone. Really strange.
