    I would toss in something like Cylance that would add almost no overhead to your setup and round out your line up.

    I wonder about few things... if I disable remote control completely, then how safe I am if I use only few known websites?

    My configuration;
    UAC with the admin password
    Sanboxie for borwser
    Remote control disabled
    Windows firewall control with whitelist

    added; Ransom off but disabled HiPS lite because already have UAC and installation limits

    Chorme/Firefox/Brave browser with; ublock orgin,

    possibly osarmor by novirusthanks when the GUI will be better
    possilby syshardener when it stop causing me troubles with default configuration

    what you think? I don't really use antivirus, I have hidden backup partition is there anything that will protect MBR/UEFI from attacks?

    If i've already got ESET Antivirus and VoodooShield running would it be recommended to install Hitman Pro Alert? Or is that a bit "overkill"??

    Sounds like "overkill" to me. You could use HitManPro (without "Alert") as an on-demand scanner.

    Actually why people use internet security products if it's pretty much enough to have separated set up for good protection?

    I summed up what is good for home envoirment;

    1. UAC with admin password, remote control disabled, incoming connections blocked
    2. osarmor/hips control + anti ransomware product
    3. sandbox for browser and documents
    4. opening unknown documents in the browser/one drive
    5. ublock orgin, brave browser/vivaldi, malwarebytes chrome ad-on
    6. hidden and protected backup partition/backup file

    you don't expect anyone to hack you at home huh? it's pretty much it

    what os are you on? if 7/8/8.1/10, i'd say it is overkill. if you're on 10, you could ditch them all and if on 8.1/8/7, just keep the av and ditch the rest.

    Most regular people want to use protection that they won't have to manage, won't block them at what they are doing and will protect them from their bad decisions. AV/AM is closest that comes to this requirements.

    Pretty much everything in the siggy remains solid and unchanged for going on a couple years now.

    Third Party security softwares have made all the difference-especially on models before Windows 10 but even including 10.

    Removed uBlock Origin as I'm testing the (surprisingly stable) nightly version of AdGuard, which has CoreLibs integrated. Also moved from Cloudflare to Quad9 for extra malware protection.
