Thanks, will try it. But you shouldn't even have to think about this stuff. I'm sure you wouldn't have this problem with Windows Mobile. It's because of this and crappy designed apps like YouTube and Google Maps that I hate smartphones in general.

And BTW, the Samsung was from a friend, I would never buy Samsung phones. It also prompts for a password twice, first to get access to the OS and then for the SIM. No easy way to figure out how to turn this off in Android, it's garbage. :thumbd:

Agreed. Samsung hardware is nice, but they bastardize the OS with all their crap. I have Samsung phones in the past and always end up getting rid of them.

You don't need to, unless an app is not running properly or has frozen and you want to close it and then open it again.

I always "close" unused apps tab, on Sony or Huawei phones, you just have to click one button, they still run in the background unless I force stop them. I just don't like tons of apps opened.

@Rasheed187 you are hijacking the thread. And don't blame Android on a whole. Blame samsung's Version of it. If you have a problem with youtube or Google maps you can always disable it. And the 2 time password is because of secure startup which you would have enabled yourself when the phone would have asked for it. Just search for secure startup in settings and disable it. And if you want to enjoy *android* then pixel moto and oneplus are the way to go. And you don't close the apps like you do on windows. You can't compare the 2. It actually affects the battery life and is not a good practice in general. You only close the app if it is misbehaving. Samsung has so much crap going in the background that you are anyways going to have problems.

No, I'm not hijacking the thread, because I'm saying that newer versions of Android suck even worse. I'm also saying that Google has hired some terrible app developers, Google Maps and YouTube are just awful. But anyway, will look into the secure startup thing, thanks for the tip.

I personally prefer to close unused apps.
