    Hi to all.

The latest available build of Firefox 52 ESR that can be installed on XP,Vista...... is 52.9.1.

With this version of Firefox the latest build of UBO installable is 1.17.4 [Dec 1, 2018]

Is it advisable to install the UBO Firefox-Legacy 1.16.4.8 [Jan 26, 2019]?

    TH.

did you try it yourself after a full profile backup?
export and import settings after upgrade and watch a while.
webextensions are usable since v48 so i dont really see upcoming issues although the full potential of webextensions came with quantum.

dont get me wrong - you are using a not maintained build of firefox and exchanging an extension is like daily work. ;)

    Hi.
I'm trying this version of UBO.
As you can see, I had to disable the update, otherwise I find installed build 1.17.4:

I use this browser spoofing as Firefox 65 on Windows 10 just to use a website.

my ff profile is set to delete certain folders ,including "storage" folder, upon exit, and turns out it's the culprit, the "default" subfolder of "storage" is where ubo's and um's 3rd party lists data is stored.now that it's excluded, everything's ok.

    and this is soo true.
could have told you earlier if i knew ;)
ublock (and others) changed from \browser-extension-data\ to \storage\default\ as many extensions. somewhere hidden in the version changes for devs.

whoa now wait a minute froggie...
firefox 67 is adding some [...]

The website works perfectly, but you can not use it with my XP.
In the image below the warning that says that the Operating System is no longer supported:

    Problem solved with spoofing:

I could also use this trick:

But if Gorhill imposed such a limitation, I assume that UBO 1.18.2 malfunctions if installed in Firefox 52.

so, (when used in combination) which one should be used to block scripts globally, ubo or umtx?

    I changed this setting:

    "dom.requestIdleCallback.enabled" set to true

    and installed the latest build.
I try to check if it works correctly.

your version of FF shows v52.9.1. Where did you get that from? I don't see it listed here.

as i wrote on mozillazine - tinderbox is dead as v52
    https://wiki.mozilla.org/Tinderbox
    https://wiki.mozilla.org/Sheriffing/TBPL
its a alpha test platform and not for the regular public. check date/time from builds and compare to v52 builds. no fortune.
most of those changesets never hitted firefox final.

I think it might have something to do with what filters are being used? I just had to disable uBlock on this forum because I couldn't post.

Nobody knows what kind of configuration or what filter lists you are currently using and therefore can't know why something has been blocked on your side.
But if you open the logger you can quickly find out what kind of request has been blocked or which filter list is blocking something.

Good point, will do so the next time. But I'm beginning to think the cause is some type of corruption in Vivaldi and uBlock. The last month I have been manually terminating Vivaldi because of some problem in Sandboxie and perhaps that has messed up uBlock. I noticed that when I had problems with WSF and the SPOT site, I got an orange indication, but all of a sudden they are green again.

    that test page indicates what?
ofc some can lock the web but anyhow its also filtering to death.

throwing here 2 errors i dont need to care because test pages are test cases but not the reality.

based on its poor capabilities it must be smaller/lighter/faster. not worth to mention it, nothing more than a basic shield.

any how i have another question. i see exploding the mass of inline scripts from o333o.com, skeetads or exoclick, where 03330 is very intrusive. domain and files are blocked, but inline scipts create popups which are closing immediately.

exists there an inline filter to get rid of such inline scripts or do i need to create a filter for each site?
