I have never trusted AV tests. Would rather believe what I read in news groups and not "security programs for dummies". Tried Bitdefender, on the second day it was gone !!. You can go to the Malwarebytes forum and read about all the troubles > running with Windows 7 (your problem) Likewise with "I hate Windows 10". What a bunch of crap. I had one big problem with 10, after every "upgrade" big problem because I used a setting from Win 98 that Win 10 did not like. Took 3 upgrades to find that one. So if you did what I did, hate 10 (to dumb to learn), Malwarebytes ( not their problem, it is yours), or what ever it is your own fault (using old OS). Happy with Malwarebytes, Emsisoft and Win 10 on 4 machines. Sometimes we have to let "old modifications behind"

First, I don't believe in the AV tests. I do run AV and Malwarebytes on both of my Win 7 computers. Lifetime Licenses on Malwarebytes no harm in using them. The Mac is a different story, different world. I did run AV on it for awhile. The same AV as on the Win 7 until questions that I asked were not answered on how the AV worked on a Mac. I'll still try to get answers some way from the AV's forum. As for now I'm not running that AV on the Mac. Almost every Mac forum recommends Malwarebytes for Mac to get malware off the computer. I also run the Malwarebytes (beta) browser extensions in Chrome and Firefox. With the security in macOS Mojave, Malwarebytes is all I need.

I don't always completely trust in them either, but I think it's highly unlikely that they rig these tests, just to make Malwarebytes look bad.
