According to the German security researcher Mike Kuketz the Cyberghost VPN Android app is infested with several trackers. He recommends to remove the app immediately.

Why people choose popular highly commercialized VPNs...they obviously care more about cash than your anonymity...

I think there is a fisherman program going on that takes a lot of time and planning to set it all up possibly months or years. In this case it would be the advertising of VPN services that make you anonymous. Well, that is what the people who use them were told. These people would then use the VPN service and say or search for things they normally wouldn't. If the "spying on civilians groups who sell info" is running that VPN they just got had and spilled more beans.

And I imagine the NSA has a way of intercepting all info going into and out of a VPN. If the NSA was not able to capture data of people using a VPN I would think the use of one would be demonized. But this isn't the case as they advertise them all over the place for cell phones. So either they really do **** off the NSA and they need fake VPN services out there or they don't care at all and spy groups buy VPN services and sell info.

Its a bit confusing. In the headline it says "Cyberghost" but in the text it says "NordVPN" It looks like they mean NordVPN not Cyberghost.

That article is talking about CyberGhost. The second link references another article about the NordVPN app sending an email address to a tracking provider. The first paragraph relates to this.

    So avoid both.
