    Oh, of course, I see now there is that option to change it to 2 years.

    I had to contact them to upgrade from a normal Pro to a Portable, and a discounted 1 year sub was what they offered - but I guess I can always change that at renewal. Plus the purchase has a 25% off code for that.

    @mood

    Thanks for this. :thumb:

    I just found out the other day, that I had purchased RevoUninstaller Pro portable version back in March 2017, but had forgotten. Anyway, I just found my license details, and installed it a few days ago. So, I went to the link that you posted, and just paid an additional amount to get the v4 upgrade. Just had to supply my email address to get the discount.

    And thank you for bringing it up as a reminder.

    Revo Uninstaller is been a staple in all machines on this end and is always performed magnificently without fail.

    Yes, it's one of those storage apps I call happy program-since it drills into every connection a windows compatible program originated from on install to leftovers (in the registry too) needing deleting to thoroughly clear traces of it so if you might be reinstalling an upgrade or what have you, a user experiences no interference from bumping up against previous similar files or registry key/values that we sometimes run into that can bug up a retry/redo etc. Or to simply ensure your uninstall is done and totally complete EVEN AFTER THE PROGRAM'S UNINSTALLER RUN.

    So far it doesn't seem to be that good. The advertised program profiles features sounds good, but I could not find any reference to it in the program or its online manual. In the list of installed software there is no indication of what programs (if any) have profiles.
    I uninstalled a program and after that Ashampoo Uninstaller scanned for and deleted the traces it found. Unfortunately it automatically deleted the traces without showing what was going to removed. This is a big issue as it reasonably common for uninstallers to have issues with false positives. Also, I was instructed not to reboot the computer if the programs uninstaller needed to reboot to finish the uninstall. IObit Uninstaller, for example, can scan for leftovers after rebooting.

    Another issue is that Ashampoo Uninstaller crashed.

    Thanks for the feedback @roger_m . Well, with Nate's words when he defeated Conor in their first clash ... I'm not surprised *****. Seriously, I didn't expect a decent result. Ashampoo missed the train already a few years ago.

    I installed it, and haven't had any of your issues, but weren't you having this same problem the other day, with another piece of software? Maybe something is messed up on your system? (I always restore a Macrium image, before trying/testing new software, just to be sure it's a good test, as the image is a new installation).

    I installed Ashampoo Uninstaller 8, and it asked if I wanted to make a snapshot, since I had just installed it, so I did. Then I made a Microsoft Restore, and rebooted.

    I haven't had any problems or crashes.

    @rodneym Well it could have been an issue just with my system that made it crash. However, I have two issues with it. Automatically deleting tracing is a very bad idea and I would never use any uninstaller which will not let me see what it wants to delete. Secondly, it seems to not have the advertised profiles feature and without that feature, there seems to be nothing remarkable about it.

    I've just done a clean install of Windows 10 build 1809 and am using a trial install Total Uninstall at the moment. I quite probably will buy a license when the trial ends. Install Monitor looked promising and I certainly prefer monitoring of installs, to snapshots, but it needs to be improved before I would use it.

    I could quite easily live without any third party uninstallers on this laptop, as I will not be installing much software on it, but it doesn't hurt to use one.

    I know. I prefer to monitoring to snapshots, which is why I like Install Monitor. But it clearly needs some work to improve the monitoring and reduce CPU use when monitoring, which is why I'm not using it.
