Brazilian government to create data protection authority January 2, 2019 https://www.zdnet.com/article/brazilian-government-to-create-data-protection-authority/
Brazil sounds like a great place. In some ways. OK, so I've lived in the US for decades. And I've become used to its norms. So maybe 20 years ago, I attended an international conference in the southeastern US. And my hotel roommate was from Brazil. The first evening, I'm watching TV, and I hear him calling room service. And I hear him calmly ask them to recommend some good prostitutes. Just like I'd ask for restaurant recommendations. And the funniest part was how genuinely outraged he got about their reaction So anyway, I got on the phone, and explained and apologized. So we didn't get kicked out. But damn.
Only because you don't live here. How things look and how things are are two very different things. I could go on forever, but I shall leave it at: beware of Brazilians, might save your life one day.
