The new ActiveImage Protector 2018 is here!
    • NEW Virtual Standby Availability: Creates automatically updated boot points with scheduled incremental snapshots directly to a VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V Host. When a disaster strikes, the standby virtual machine (SVM) can be instantly started (in as little as two minutes according to our test results).
    • Post-backup processing including BootCheck™ and consolidation: Automatically ensures backup images are bootable using Microsoft Hyper-V, saving system resources and time. As part of installer, ImageCenter (included in ActiveImage Protector 2018 can be installed on any machine on the network to offload the BootCheck tasks to a dedicated system, greatly reducing resource demands on the backup source machine.
    • Updated and improved P2V, V2P, P2P, and V2V processing
    • Enhanced Full-state file recovery while retaining access rights.
    • Supports Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

    Hi Andy

What are you thinking of using it for. Seems oriented towards servers.

    Hi Peter,

I also think that is mainly for servers, but it can be also used for desktop(personal).
    Of course, a bit expensive

It also seems to emphasize restoring to a VM as a means to test. I know corporate folks don't like to take down systems to test backups, but based on their track record of protecting against Ransomware, might be time for a rethink.

I can't judge this product for business servers, but for individuals I don't see it.

It seems like a clone of ShadowProtect, they look very similar

Looking at the MT thread (in post #5), some think it seems like Rollback RX, others like Marium Reflect ... :D.

It should be a clone of ShadowProtect, both product line and files structure are very similar
