    Hi all,

I have just recently installed VoodooShield, and I am running it alongside Sandboxie also. Everything seems to be running smooth, but I thought I'd check if anybody would advise against doing this?

    Thanks a ton! :)

Why not? What else do you have in your configuration, if anything?

That's fine. You need nothing else, however if you're using Windows Defender default settings you may add Andy Ful's ConfigureDefender. This is simply a GUI with which you may enable WD's highest settings. You may find it here:
https://github.com/AndyFul/ConfigureDefender/blob/master/ConfigureDefender_x64.exe (if you use 64 bit)

Very easy to use. As I like to say, "If Bertazzone can do it, anyone can do it!" And I'm not kidding! Enjoy! :thumb:

    Thanks for your input, Bertazzone.

Is it ok to use Sandboxie with VoodooShield together simultaneously whilst browsing the Web

On some dual core Windows 7 machine VoodooShield 4.65 crashes often. It runs along Jetico 2 and Kaspersky Free.Once the Process Attack filter module is activated in Jetico 2 , it starts crashing , while you want a file to be scanned or you launch some applications it simply disapears.
On another W 7 machine though seems to be running without crashing itself.
I don t understand the requirements for Outbound TCP 1433 and TCP 8090 while you want the files analyzed.

Voodooshield 4.65 free crashed this evening again and again at boot up.
At the same exact time with the crash windows error , there is a Jetico 2 popup refering to PnkbstrA.exe from SysWOW64 (legit) asking for indirect acces to consent.exe or svchost.exe.There are months since i ve played a punkbuster related game.

    Some more info.
The PunksbusterA service was set on Auto and it seems ocasionally would start with windows byitself , even though there were months since i ve used a game that uses it.Maybe it was trying to call home at start-up randomly.
As such most probable this service was killing voodooshield.I have removed punkbuster services alltogether and reinstalled voodoo to see how it goes.
The file itself was clean in virustotal so it's PB-s nature that does something maybe.

This interesting software needs better self protection or something.

    Hi,
I have installed VooDooShield Pro on my PC. It has 'Smart' mode and 'Aggressive' posture.

Liking it so far, but I am having an issue. Sometimes I can find that VooDooShield tray icon is absent after some boot, and also no VooDooShield service is running. Wondering what is going on !

I have only Malwarebytes and MCShield running alongside.

This has been reported by some users. You don't say what OS, etc. you're using. Have you set an exclusion in your other security software? You may check the VS support forum at Calendar of Updates, and you may email VS with your issue. My experience has been fairly prompt replies to queries.:thumb:

@Warklen @sg09 - I wonder if Malwarebytes may be responsible? Anyone contact Dan yet? I'm sure he would love to attempt diagnosis.

    @Warklen @Bertazzone
I had this issue only once after I did all the exclusions.

I didn't contact VoodooShield support but did a hack myself. I found that VoodooShield do not have any startup entries but has two services that autostart. I have added a VoodooShield.exe shortcut in the startup folder. That might have solved the issue but I've restarted my system only once since then.

Thanks to the giveaway i have installed a full version. And many thanks to ViVek for the heads up.:)
Much better now than before, even if you try to scan a file and you are off-line the software is not crashing entirely (like it did for me) , as in previous builds , i mean the software seems to be working in spite of the error message that it s stopped working. With previous versions i could crash it by simply right clicking a file to be scanned.with no connectivity.
But it is happeninig from time to time , I have no ideea why , extremelly rare on my machine , to crash at start up completelly and to recover at a next reboot , seems to be related to windows updates or something like that..
