I've been running that version for a while now and haven't received that notification (maybe since I'm already running AdGuard), but see comments that you're not alone.

Bad news, it doesn't seem to work. And this is exactly what I meant. For basic functionality you need to install extensions. Like I said, Chrome is a freaking joke. And BTW, I only use it for testing purposes and for certain sites that I can't login to when you block third party cookies.

I'm not sure yet, but I think it can be disabled via: chrome://settings/content/notifications

    TY, mood! :thumb:

Also several component updates are available. For me they were CRLSet, Adobe Flash Player and Signed Tree Heads.

Chrome 71 (71.0.3578.80) is coming through the auto update right now despite not being announced yet. Although it is expected today anyway.

Flash updated to (32.0.0.101) via chrome://components

EDIT: OmahaProxy (http://omahaproxy.appspot.com/) shows the stable release.

    EDIT2: There it is: https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/2018/12/stable-channel-update-for-desktop.html

They released slightly before the blog post was ready.

EDIT3: FWIW, Adobe signed the updated Flash Player binaries on November 29, 2018.

Also interesting, Google seems to have disabled by default: Site Isolation, IncompatibleApplicationsWarning and ThirdPartyModulesBlocking.

I have IncompatibleApplicationsWarning and ThirdPartyModulesBlocking forced On via policy and it is still staying disabled, forcefully. Very strange.

And the idea was to have Site Isolation enabled ASAP. So this seems a step backward (or multiple steps backward) for Chrome team. There must be valid reasons for these choices though.

I never thought they would disable Site Iso.

Surprised me as well. But at least this is something that they can push out even without an update to all users (or percentage). What surprises me the most is that it is overriding my group policy settings for the first time ever. Same with the ThirdParty settings as well. I will have to dig deeper into this to see what's going on.

EDIT: Sorry, I need to correct what I wrote. Site Isolation is still being forced (on) correctly by group policy. It's the two ThirdParty module blocking settings that are force disabled regardless of my policy settings on this version.

Good find, thank you. Well, that'll do it for sure. Unfortunately we can't find out any more details about it at the moment, it seems.
