This VPN has pretty good ratings by The Privacy Guy for as much as that means. I've found that both the VPN and the browser extension are useful tools but this would never be my one and only VPN. I popped for one of the offers from a 3rd party site, something like 3 years for $20us, and was pleasantly surprised to get a coupon code that kept the transaction details separate from the Windscribe account and I set up an anonymous account with a disposable email. I set it up in a router to give me a different server somewhere in the US each time I boot the router and it works reliably. Keep in mind that I never use the software from Windscribe just generic OpenVPN. I do use the browser extension but never with the paid account. I just set up a 2gb per month no email basic account. Every computer and every browser has its own account. Apart from the encrypted proxy, it has an assortment of tools specific to browsing including a user agent rotator, social button suppressor, and tracking blocker. I've replaced Ghostery with it. It does much more and I trust Windscribe more than Ghostery. The proxy works great over TOR if you need a stable IP while using TOR.

I'm talking running double-hop on your mobile phone. I don't think any VPN can do that.

The only way I know to use the phone to double hop is to set a VPN in the router, connects the phone to it, and use the VPN in your mobile phone to achieve that

This is the e-mail received: I have a lifetime license, put on the shelf.
With government block-lists used with Outpost it blocks @least 15 address using windscribe.
Just to inform the non in-formed.

Canada is worse than USA, as far as privacy.

With their crazy tactics ( look at the the Install messages, also changes windows firewall, not for your good ) and this e-mail garbage:

"Quit blushing, let us get to the point. We're happy to announce that we've launched Static IPs. These will be available in 10+ locations, as well as 3 new locations where we offer residential static IPs, which make it look like you're not using a VPN at all, since to anyone watching you appear as a regular home user. No, we're not doing that shady Hola crap [links to fortune.com/2015/05/29/hola-luminati-vpn/]. Because we're not ********"

    Who writes this? Only Windscribe.

It's not the language they use, just their unprofessional attitude. ;)

You received a lifetime license per email? Why
Can you elaborate on the 15 addresses, please?
Also why are you using software whose EOL was 12.2015? (Outpost Firewall Pro)

I updated my Windscribe Pro to the latest v2.2 Build, earlier this morning. My licence runs to 2028. :thumb:
