Thank you. Yes, I was familiar with this registry search and replace previously but I try to avoid it as much as possible. But in this case, I feel like it is more necessary. You are right, because if you don't add that through the registry, then if a user opens a link via another program, (eg. Thunderbird), it will open Chromium without that setting applied. So the registry search and replace is important in that regard.

Thanks to another Chromium build compiler RobRich on that site, he pointed out that there is another option in case the user wants to keep the Audio Service OutOfProcess and force the sandbox. So it changes the chrome.exe process from Medium IL to Low IL.

Probably dumb question, I always have this (Import bookmarls now ...) ... how do I get rid of it?

To see the options, right click on the bookmarks bar.
Look at the bottom two options...
If you just want to remove the apps shortcut, uncheck "Show apps shortcut".
If you want to remove the entire bookmarks bar, uncheck "Show bookmarks bar".
You probably want the second option as I believe that you want to remove the entire bookmarks bar...

Thanks puff, I can remove the apps shortcut ... what confuses me is that even if I uncheck the 'Show bookmarks bar' (it was unchecked) via right-click there or in Settings, it always returns.

I just want remove the bookmarks bar taking up real estate. Sounds simple, but I have always had this issue with Chrome / Chromium - must be something I'm doing (wrong).

 

When I was using Chrome I've always hide bookmarks bar. It "re-appeared" on new tab only, after I loaded first page it usually disappeared. IDK if it still functions that way.

Strange one can't just kill it completely.

Edit: Seems you can do it by changing from 'New Tab' to 'specific page' in Settings>On startup

 

I actually liked how it was implemented. I had quick access to bookmarks on new tab and it autohid when selected webpage loaded. It was kind of win-win for me.

 

anyone else experiencing issues with updating extensions (v72 in total) and stylus settings disappearing with build .91/.94 or higher?
.3587 is latest working with stylus, final v70 is working like charm, updating aso.
