Panda Free Antivirus v18.05 (March 2018) https://www.neowin.net/news/panda-free-antivirus-1805-offline-installer http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/panda_cloud_antivirus.html
I have attempted to install Panda Dome 18.05 in place of Dome 18.04 on a Windows XP system on which Dome18.04 previously ran beautifully. Big mistake. Dome 18.05 install got itself into a loop and succeeded only in making it impossible to uninstall the mess in which no files were actually installed and made it impossible to reinstall Dome 18.04. The Panda general uninstaller was no use. Panda installations are fraught with such possibilities. With the good behaviour on version 18.03 and 18.04 I though that installating Panda was a thing of the past. Sadly not! Anyone who is considering installing Dome 18.05 in replacement for Dome 18.04 should clone their system disk first.
@loungehake Have you tried running the Panda Generic Uninstaller, to completely remove any files and registry keys belonging to Panda? You should be able to run that and then be able to install the latest version of Panda.
Automatic program upgrade doesn't work, I guess they will never ever fix it. Otherwise it's still one of the lightest AV beside Avast.
I followed my usual procedure and uninstalled Panda Dome 18.04 using Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs after starting Windows XP in Safe Mode. I then ran Panda Generic Installer which I downloaded after the release of Dome 18.04. Attempting installation of Dome 18.05 in Windows XP normal mode resulted in half an hour of nothing being installed as the process went round and round as if in an endless loop. Panda Dome 18.04 had previously installed smoothly. I shut down and restarted the system, ran Panda Generic Installer in Safe Mode again then attempted to install Dome 18.05 again. The same result happened and so I tried to run Panda Generic Installer but received the message that a reboot was necessary I rebooted but the sam happened. A belated attempt to install Dome 18.04 failed so I resorted to recovering the system disk clone copy which I had performed, with immense good judgement, prior to the attempt to install Dome 18.05. After the impeccable behaviour I had previously experienced with Panda Free 18 in all its versions, I assumed that there was something seriously wrong with Dome 18.05 and so gave up on it.
I managed to install 18.05 on my Win 7 machine, and even on an old laptop still running Vista belonging to a relative. It all went very smoothly. From what I can deduce Panda Dome is compatible with XP, whether it's compatible with all older hardware is unknown though.
Panda have just released new Dome versions of their old antivirus products, which had not been updated for some time. I created a thread about it. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/new-panda-dome-versions-replacing-old-panda-products.402150/
Panda Dome 18.05 successfully installed. It works fine on Windows XP with pre-SSE2 processors. Dome 18.05 is more fussy to install than Dome 18.04.

When running Panda Free including 18.05 on pre-SSE2 processors, I disable the Panda Devices Agent service which oddly requires a SSE2 compliant processor
Panda Free Antivirus v18.06 (June 17, 2018) http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/panda_cloud_antivirus.html https://www.neowin.net/news/panda-free-anti-virus-1806-offline-installer
Malwarebytes Browser Extension blocks that link for low reputation, on Panda website they still offer the download of v. 18.05 and Panda AV auto-updater can't find any update from v. 18.05
The new update is listed on a number of download sites. Often, you need to manually download and run the new installer, to upgrade to a new version of Panda.
Panda Free Antivirus v18.06.01 (November 13, 2018) http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/panda_cloud_antivirus.html https://www.neowin.net/news/panda-free-antivirus-180601-offline-installer
Thanks, just updated. Was still running a version released like around a year ago. No auto updating to newer versions is my only minor annoyance with Panda cloud.
It does update to the current version sometimes. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thr...old-panda-products.402150/page-3#post-2792410
Maybe Panda will only auto-update when it deems a update a 'major release' and skips minor releases? I was still running 18.04 released back in December last year.
